As Rayavadee Premier Resort is set on a small peninsula surrounded by sea, cliffs and forest (with no road), the setting feels like an island which can be your window on exotic Krabi. The resort boundary is encircled by the National Park. It's Nature's perfect playground on land or sea belonging to everybody, and almost every activity is free. So feel free! Sail boat, canoes, and snorkeling gears are provided for water sport enjoyment. (Please note that our beaches have no jet skis or water scooters as motorized sports are banned in Krabi). But you can rent a speed boat for your own island-hopping programme. We will be delighted to arrange scuba dives for you to witness the wonderful underwater world of coral and tropical fish. The fully qualified PADI instructors will guide you to a marine fantasy realm within short range of resort. If you are more comfortable simply snorkeling, coral beds are just steps away from the island. You can enjoy the company of school of tiny little fish a few metres from the beach. Noon is the perfect time to visit the Princess Lagoon hidden inside the hill beside the Resort. As you walk up and down the trek you can inspect the lush jungle and plentiful flora and fauna. It takes about an hour to reach this amazing creation of Mother Nature: a round pool about 600 feet in diameter surrounded by towering cliffs of stalactites and stalagmites. The water comes from the sea by an underground tunnel, so the lagoon is at its most picturesque at high tide. You can easily walk on the ridge to the viewpoint for an unforgettable birds-eye view of the whole peninsula, hemmed in by tropical blue sea. If you consider yourself strong and energetic, rock climbing may come as an exciting discovery to you. There are courll marvel at the surreal beauty of Phranang Headland. At low tide visit Phranang Beach and wade across the channel to the twin islands. There you can look back to admire the panoramic beauty of one of the world's most exquisite coastlines. With such a variety of things to do and discover, you may wish to stay longer than originally planned. Our Guest Activities Staff can arrange day trips to any of the postcard-perfect tropical islands in the marine national park. You can also discover why bigger communities such as Phi Phi Island, Panyi fishing village, and Krabi town are all photographic delights. Yet Krabi has more than seascapes and islands. Tropical rainforests have been conserved as national parks. You may like, for example, to visit waterfalls in the forest, Tiger Cave Temple, natural hot water plunge pool, and cave systems once the abode of pre-historic people who first inhabited the land around 40,000 years ago. Closer to the Rayavadee there are island hops, barbecue excursions by your private chartered boat or simply join the Siamese junk for a sunset cocktail cruise. These create memories you'll never forget. Within the resort itself, they're plenty of sporting options. Try a game of tennis on one of our two floodlit jungle courts. (You might find a troop of monkeys coming down to play ballkeeper.) Or change your racquet to play squash in our airconditioned court instead. Then there is the fully equipped exercised gym to help you tone up your body. Alternatively, enjoy the fun of all-comers volleyball, down on Railay beach prior to sunset. After staying at the Rayavadee for a few days, you may find time losy and seductive. It's the perfect place to forget the outside world where they may call it being lazy. But at the Rayavadee you'll soon stop worrying about what they think at home. We believe the Rayavadee is the ideal retreat from modern civilization and the natural alternative to other common seaside resorts. |
